are you serious?!?

So, lately, I have been talking to a lot of my non-music major friends at school who are going through their scheduling process for next fall. They are all so excited that their number of creit hours are going from the typical freshman 17/18 to about 12/13. I was sooooo happy to hear this, because I would love a cut in hours. So, I make my new schedule, and anxiously wait to see the total number of hours that I am taking. My eyes just about bulge out of my head as I see that my number is going from this semester's 17 to 18! And that's with moving one course I should be taking to a later semester. I apparently was going to have 21! Aaaaaaahhhhhhh!

At least I will be on campus and working fewer hours next year, but still... ARE YOU SERIOUS!?!

is it spring break yet????

Ugh, I have a very long week ahead of me! I need to get through the next five days, and then I have a week of beautiful spring break ahead of me. Actually, Friday will be pretty ok, it is really just Monday thru Thursday that I need to survive. What am I doing for spring break that is soooo great, you ask? Well... er,..., I really don't know! I will be looking for a weekend day job to go with my weekday classes and weeknight (and weekend night)job. Yeah, that sounds... great. So why again am I sooo happy about this break? Oh yeah,

"No more homework, no more books,
no more teacher's dirty looks!"

Whooohoooo!

so far, so good

Over the course of the past week, I have been trying to eat healthier and get to the gym just a little more. While my gym habits have not really changed much, my eating habits have. I think that I can honestly say that I have not had any "junk food" yet this week! Go me! Plus, the fact that this has lasted 6 days really makes me very happy. My greatest achievement has been breaking my 4 or 5 sodas a day habit and only having soda 3 times a week! Let's see if I can make this last!

Books n' more...

My goal this year is to read a bunch of books, and see movies that I wouldn't normally go to see (meaning horror films, movies that have deep topics that you have to actually think about, and action flicks... I am a comedy/chick flick girl)

The other day, I went to go see the movie "Annapolis". I have to say that I surprisingly enjoyed it. Aside from the fact that there were several well built guys with no shirts on, it had a good story line that combined the fight between power and determination ,with actual fighting in boxing matches ,plus a love story, and a relationship problem with a parent and child. I highly reccomend it to anyone looking for a good movie to see.

As for books, I just finished "The Nanny Diaries", which was a fairly easy read, but grabbed me and made it hard to stop reading at times. I am still in the middle of "Memoirs of a Geisha", and recently started "Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress" for an english class.

I am sort of into diaries ( real or fictional), memoirs, and any kind of life stories... so if anyone has any suggestions, let me know! I will soon need some new books to start!
